Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A star who strayed completely from country music to pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin and proved she had the finest pop sensibility of the time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could follow the zeitgeist of popular music on the road. Her early songs including the neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. But, her follow-up album Fearless from 2008 showed a songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger fan base. The album was a huge success, not just in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. Its Top Ten songs Love Story and the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. However, it did exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released almost two years after the debut, further consolidated this momentum. The album propelled Swift into the spotlight. With the three albums that followed the three albums that followed -- Red 2012, 1989 2014 along with Reputation 2017 -- Swift's fame only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered the new music scene which she was able to fit into. Her popularity grew even after she changed her strategy in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
