It's a blend of reggaeton with pop that not only brought new attention to reggaeton, but also an increase in interest in Latin music. There were in 2015 two mostly Spanish-language songs on Billboard's Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. In 2017, at the peak of popularity for Despacito and popularity, 19 songs mostly in Spanish made it to the Billboard Top 100. By 2020 there will be 41 tracks from this category. Justin Bieber's bilingual remix Despacito was released in the year. After that, well-known artists started collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny for MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna worked with Maluma on Medellin.
