Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Before she learned to write and read, she began to compose the songs she wrote herself. Her first guitar purchase came when she was just 8 years old and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn radio station at age eleven. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still at high school, but wanted to perform on a larger stage. When she was graduating in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to perform on his show syndicated by him from the beginning. Parton took the job in the year 1966. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. The band split in 1974, when her solo hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene beat out the collaborations. Parton following the breakup of their collaboration with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to Number. For the first time, in 1974.
